Chocolate No-Bakes

captureNo-Bakes! A dessert most of us know and love and already have a great recipe for. This treat is definitely requested the most by everyone in my family and is a go-to when I need something quick. It only takes about 10-15 minutes to whip these up so they’re perfect when you’re in a rush! How do you make your no-bakes? Feel free to leave comments/questions below!

Chocolate No-Bake Cookies
Cook Time: 10 minutes
Cool Time: 30 minutes
Makes 22 cookies

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1/2 cup peanut butter
  • 1/4 cup cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 3 cups oats old-fashioned or quick

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet over medium heat, melt your butter. Once melted, add milk, sugar, and cocoa (I do 1 cup sugar, add my milk, then do my other cup of sugar).
  2. Stir together over medium heat (no higher) until fully combined. Don’t quit stirring.
  3. Once it’s boiling while you stir (not just small bubbles around the edge, but a rolling boil) set the timer for 1 minute.
  4. Continue stirring constantly making sure to scrape the sides of the pan as needed.
  5. When the timer goes off, remove your pan from the heat and add your peanut butter and vanilla.
  6. Add the oats and mix until completely covered. Try to work fast as the cookies will start to harden as they cool.
  7. With a large cookie scoop, scoop onto wax paper.
  8. Let cool. This will take about 20-30 minutes but I like to give mine a good hour before removing them from the wax paper.
  9. Enjoy!
